For over a decade, The National Congress of Black Women Foundation /UMOJA Society has stood as Canada's African-Caribbean-Canadian organization working to address the needs of people living with and at risk of HIV/AIDS and/or Hepatitis C. We strive to address the epidemic from both a peer support and prevention/education perspective.
Each year, our volunteer team continues to directly provide HIVAIDS and Hepatitis C education and awareness to over 6000 African-Caribbean-Canadian youth in schools throughout the Lower Mainland of British Columbia.
Also we provides educational program to African-Caribbean-Canadian youths and children yearly in order to prevent them from criminality and we provide our support to women and youth and so, they can achieve their education.
We mainly dedicate our organization’s Programs to children, youth and elders involving to providing and adequate support and information they need to continue living strong and healthy lives.
